The
fourth regularly scheduled meeting of the State Field Archery Association of New
Jersey will be held Friday evening July 20, 2001, at Woodbridge Elks
#2116 at 665 Rahway Ave. (Hwy 514) in Woodbridge, NJ at 8 pm.

shoot money and tournament reports must be current
in order to schedule shoots for 2002.

OFFICER REPORTS:
Executive V.P. James Mitchell
Jim proposed a yearly raffle (50-50) to sell $2,000.00 worth of tickets to the SFAA-NJ members with half of the money going to the State and the other half to the archers. More info to follow.
V.P. Awards Doug Joyce
Doug
thanked Al Liguori for a good job on the Indoor State Championship weep sheet
and he passed out plaques for the
BCRs to take back to their Club members. Doug noted that he has placed an order
for patches and awards from NFAA. Doug
also distributed a new application form for awards that can be obtained from the
NFAA (application included in the minutes).

Al’s
report is printed in the minutes as
submitted to the BCRs.

Bow Hunting Cheryl Mitchell
Cheryl
distributed applications for the SFAA-NJ Turkey Award, this award is for members
who harvest a turkey with the bow and arrow.
Cheryl also distributed a printed report on black bears in NJ. (form and
bear report included in the minutes).

BUSINESS:
Tabled
motion “requiring at least an
SFAA membership card at the 3D Championship in order to win an award. Dover made
an amendment to the motion that “in order to shoot at 3D Championship an SFAA-NJ
membership card is mandatory, second Wa-Xo-Be and the
vote of the BCRs passed the motion.
Art
Reimer noted that Sumi , Victory
Rifle/Pistol and Sequoia Bowmen have been dropped from the SFAA-NJ rolls effective immediately.
The
SFAA-NJ has obtained a new computer
system the price is $200.00.
NEW
BUSINESS:
The Mid Atlantic meeting is in June at the Mids, any Club requesting Mid shoots must get their proposals in before the June meeting or send your proposals directly to Art.
Art
Reimer asked what rounds we want to shoot at the Indoor Mids?
Dover made a motion for a one day Mid Atlantic Indoor Championship.
BCR voted in favor.
Black
Knight made a motion that we shoot
the 450 Vegas round at the Indoor Mid Atlantic, passed by BCR vote.
Wa-Xo-Be
made a motion that in 2002 the SFAA
run both a marked and unmarked 3D Championship. The
BCRs were requested to take this back to their Clubs and report back at our July
meeting.
What
round do you want to shoot at the Outdoor Mid Atlantics in 2002?
A motion was made by Garden State to shoot 28 field, 28 hunter and 14
animals, second by Wa-Xo-Be. A vote
of the BCRs passed the motion.
Al
Liguori noted that the tournament desk guide will be ready for our July meeting.

business, a motion was made by Dover to adjourn the meeting at 10:00 pm.,
second by Black Knight and carried.
