The fifth regularly scheduled meeting of the State Field Archery Association of New Jersey will be held Friday evening September  21, 2001, at Wa-Xo-Be Indoor Range, Major Road, in South Brunswick, NJ at 8 pm.

                NOTE MEETING LOCATION CHANGE

 

STATE FIELD ARCHERY ASSOCIATION OF NEW JERSEY

 

 

The fourth regularly scheduled meeting of the State Field Archery Association of New Jersey for 2001 was held Friday evening July 20, 2001, at 8:10 pm.  The meeting was called to order by President Art Reimer.  Those participating in the meeting were Club representatives and interested Club members of the following Field Archery Clubs. ( indicated by a *).

There were 8 Clubs present.

 

New BCR’s  and guests:

Arnold Mazzone,  new BCR 2 from Wo-Pe-Na.

 

The July minutes were accepted as printed, after  noting that the increase in NFAA/SFAA membership fees was not  included in the minutes.  After further checking it  was discovered that the fee increase was noted in the March minutes of the Director’s Report with the increase becoming effective June 1, 2001.  The fees for  head of  household NFAA/SFAA membership is $30.00, with family membership  an additional $5.00 per person not to exceed $40.00,  any additional members in excess of two are free.  The junior membership remains the same, $15.00.  The minutes were accepted by a motion from Dover and a second by Wo-Pe-Na.

 

 

OFFICER REPORTS:

 

Executive V.P.  James Mitchell  -  excused

Information packets for the 2002 booklets were distributed to all BCR’s.

 

V.P. Awards  Doug Joyce

Doug noted that he is set for the SFAA Outdoor Champion. All plaques and medals were ordered and have been received.

 

V.P. Field Archery   Al Liguori

Al  noted that the registration desk book is not ready for distribution, due to the fact that he did  not  have the rules and regulations for the 3D  State Championship.  After some discussion  it  was noted that the 3D rules and regulations will be included in another book.

Art’s report on the Mid-Atlantic meeting is enclosed with these minutes.

 

Weekly Award   Claire  Reimer

Claire noted that the following Clubs are delinquent in their shoot money and tournament                              reports:

                     Garden State            4/29  shoot  report  only, 5/20 shoot report and money

                     Lincoln Park             6/10, 7/7, 7/8

Awards can not be mailed if your Club does not  include full name and address on the Tournament Report.

 

Tabled motion to establish a marked and unmarked distance 3D Championships in 2002.  BCR vote 5 in favor and 2 opposed with 1 abstention. The motion was passed.

 

The business meeting was concluded and the Clubs commenced with the shoot scheduling for the 2002 tournament year.

 

There being  no further  business, a motion was made by Dover to adjourn the meeting at 9:25 pm., second  by Shongum.

**The New York Director requested that the application form in the Archery magazine for Sectional tournaments be modified to read” Proof of NFAA membership required” and that the form be put on the NFAA web. Problems encountered at the 2001 Sectional Indoor in New York with out-of-state residents initiated the request.
